The ShopPad team produced a successful range of apps on the Shopify platform with expansive functionality for store owners and integrations that enabled automations optimized for the Shopify platform. In difference to their competitors, ShopPad provided a service layer for novice users that supplied critical value to an untapped market unserved by other comparable products. They needed baseline UX improvements and generate new features in their MESA product.

Working on fundamental UX improvements like enhancing the user experience through improving field token selection, new user onboarding, optimizing the home dashboard, streamlining automation step configuration, simplifying automation testing, and improving discovery of automation templates led to the creation of the stand-alone alternative instead of the limited inner Shopify extension.
